Psalms 19:7  The law of Yahweh is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of Yahweh is sure, making wise the simple.

Understanding the Bible: What’s it all about?

The bible is often thought of as a religious book.  That thought though, couldn’t be further from the truth.  The bible is both a history book and a book of prophesy.  It teaches of our collective ancient past while foretelling the future of mankind.  Many of the prophesies spoken of in the bible have already come to fruition and become the past, while there are many prophecies that we await.

Some people question the validity of the bible that we have today.  They should feel secure in the validity of the KJV Bible.  The largest book in the bible is the book of Isaiah with 66 chapters.  Almost the entire book of Isaiah was found completely intact and preserved in the heavily salted lake in Israel.  The information found within these Dead Sea Scrolls matches perfectly with the present day book of Isaiah.  This book of Isaiah was found on an original papyrus scroll in the Dead Sea.  It is dated from the 2nd century BCE which would place its existence around the time of the 3rd beast, the Grecian empire, Hellenistic period.

The Isaiah scroll, which is a part of the Dead Sea Scrolls, contains almost the whole Book of Isaiah. It dates from the 2nd century BCE.
