The Chronicles of NCCI

Psalms 19:7  The law of Yahweh is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of Yahweh is sure, making wise the simple.

“The Holidays” and the SUN!

Your hear the phrase “Happy Holidays” said almost everywhere this time of the year, but does everyone actually know what they are saying?  All of the holidays during this time of the year are designed and dedicated to the sun and most specifically the pagan sun god.   These holidays celebrate the return of the sun during this time of the weakened sun, winter — longer nights, less light, shorter days — this time of the year and its holidays anxiously await the winter solstice and later the return of light to the darkened skies. This is why all of these holidays try to create light, burn lights, and lighten up the darkened winter skies, homes, and shopping malls.

The lighted Xmas tree brightens many homes, but darkens their owner’s obedience to our Creator.  The Most High God, Yahweh, warned us against these practices in Jeremiah 10 :1-5.  The heathen were cutting down trees from the forest, bringing them into their homes, standing the trees upright – as not to fall, and they were decking the tree with silver and gold, long, long before the Messiah was even born.

Jeremiah 10:1-5  “Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain:for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.  They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.  …. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.”

Instead of blindly following the crowd and uttering that common phrase “Happy Holidays” , let us “enlighten” others with the truth!

Psalms 19:8  The statutes of the LORD are right… the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
