Feast of Tabernacles- Day One

Feast of Tabernacles

Feast of Tabernacles

The celebration of this great feast is a joyous time, a time of giving glory to YHWH (Lev 23:33-44).  It is the longest feast of the Hebrew sacred Calendar, lasting eight days.  The first and the eighth day are Sabbath days (Lev 23:39).  It is symbolic of the Tabernacle of witness built by the Israelites in the wilderness under the leadership of Moses, and the Tabernacle built by Solomon, rebuilt by Zerubabel and in the near future, by YHWH Elohim!  The Feast of Tabernacles has a prophetic meaning relating to the kingdom on earth after the re-gathering and restoration of the tribes of Israel.  At that time, the feast will again become memorial, not for Israel alone, but for all nations (Zech. 14:16-21).

Feast of Trumpets

the-feast-of-trumpets-also-known-as-rosh-hashanah-celebrates-the-new-The first feast of Yah’s fall Holy Days is the Feast of Trumpets.  This year it begins at even on 9/12/2015.  The Feast of Trumpets begins on the first day of the Hebrew seventh month, making this feast both an annual holy day as well as a monthly one.  This is because the first day of the Hebrew month is also a New Moon.  The Feast of Trumpets is a Sabbath and represents a calling of the assemblies, particularly the prophetic calling  of the Hebrews before Yah’s Day of wrath.

Zephaniah 1:14-16″ “14 The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. 15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, 16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.”

Joel 2: “1Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.”

FEAST OF TRUMPETS

Numbers 29: 1-6

In the Old Testament, trumpets were used to assemble the people together [as in a holy convocation] and trumpets were used to also assemble the people to prepare for war.  The Feast of Trumpets is a solemn time of self-evaluation.  Written within the old Negro/Hebrew spirituals is the spiritual understanding that the trumpets are heavenly ‘voices’ who will gather the elect by the call of your name.   [“Where will you be when the trumpet sounds?  Hush, Somebody’s Calling My Name”.  Or, as sung in Steal Away….”He calls me by the thunder, the trumpet sounds within my soul”].    In Numbers 29:1-11, God instructed the Hebrews to observe a holy convocation [day of worship and cessation from work] on the first day of the seventh month by blowing the trumpet and making offerings by fire  [A FEAST] to the Lord.

And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more.  Heb 12:19

  • I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,    Rev 1:10
  • After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Rev 4:1
  • And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!  Rev 8:13

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.  Rev 11:15

Does it matter what name we call Christ?

The Most High God and Creator of all things is often referred to as God, but like people, God also has a name. His name is YHWH which is pronounced Yahweh.  His son, Christ also has a true name that most people do not call Him by.  Please view the following short video by Elder YaChov ben Yisrael on the subject of the Messiah’s Holy Name.  After the video be sure to read and print the Fifth Seal publication below further explaining the Holy Names.

Reminder: the Holy Day season begins in just a few days.  See the Holy Day calendar for dates! (this will open in another tab)
