This year’s Passover observance began yesterday evening and ends today at evening when the Feast of Unleavened Bread begins. Passover was instituted by the Most High God, YHWH (Yahweh) and first observed by our Hebrew Israelite fore-fathers following their Exodus out of Egypt. The Feast of Unleavened Bread immediately follows Passover and consists of seven days where no leavening can be found in the dwellings of those obedient followers of YHWH, neither can the followers eat anything that contains leaven for seven days. Each of these seven days we must eat unleavened bread. Observance of these holy days are part of Yah’s law and must be observed. The Messiah and the apostles kept these feasts as well as all the other others listed in Lev. 23.
The very popular concept of the “Last Supper” was actually the Messiah, Yahshua keeping the feast of the Passover. (Luke 22:1-22) The phrase “last supper” doesn’t even exist in the biblical text (KJV), the supper that he ate was the Passover. Observing the holy feast days is certainly being Christ-like.
The Messiah became the sacrificed unblemished lamb of Exodus 12, and replaced the sacrament of the lamb, with unleavened bread for his body and wine for his blood. [Luke 22:1-22] It is in this manner that we are to partake of the passover, after baptism, in the time appointed, which Yahweh commanded in Leviticus 23:1-14 & Numbers 9:1-14.
Here is a graphic showcasing the ten plagues that the Yahweh placed upon the pharaoh and Egypt for NOT allowing the Israelites to keep the feasts of Passover and Unleavened Bread. We now are freely able to keep the feasts, and we should.
