The Chronicles of NCCI

Psalms 19:7  The law of Yahweh is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of Yahweh is sure, making wise the simple.

Father’s Day, like Mother’s Day, NOT just a happy day for parents

During earlier times,  Father’s Day was known by the name of Great Sky-Father’s Day. Celebrating Father’s Day gives honor to the pagan sky god Caelus (Jupiter also) and the summer solstice.

Even the modern practice of giving fathers neckties as a present on this day is connected with Father’s Day’s original pagan rituals.  During Roman and Grecian  times, animals ready to be sacrificed were recognized by the ties of ribbon that were placed around their necks on this day; today its Dads who are being offered up as sacrifices to the Great Sky Father god, through gifts of the necktie!

The Most High YHWH has given us Holy Days throughout the year to celebrate, NOT man-made holi-days. Worldwide acceptance of pagan holidays does not change the Commandments given by the Most High.

Commandment Number One states:  Exodus 20:3  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Father’s Day gods along with Mother’s Day goddesses still count as putting other gods before Yah.

Feast of Pentecost

Feast of Pentecost

The Feast of Pentecost is also called the Feast of Weeks, for the seven weeks that separate  it from the Feast of First Fruits..  It is the feast that YHWH commanded to be celebrated 50 days after the first weekly Sabbath following the Feast of First Fruits.  (Lev. 23:15-22).  The Greek language influenced the name of this Holy Day in the New Testament, the name Pentecost is from Greek word meaning “fiftieth day”.

Leviticus 23:15  And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:16    Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto YHWH.  21 And you shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: you shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your  dwelling throughout all your generations….

This feast is commanded to be kept forever by the followers of the Anointed One, Yahshua.  It commemorates the pouring out of YHWH’s Spirit (Word of Prophecy) to the Hebrew Israelites in Acts 2.  During Acts 2, Hebrew Israelites – Jews- who had moved to locations all over the world, gathered together in Jerusalem to keep the Pentecost Holy Day. The pouring out of the Spirit on the Day of Pentecost resulted in these Jews, that spoke different languages hearing the words of prophesy each in their own languages.

And when THE DAY OF PENTECOST was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting . . . And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues [languages] … And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven … the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language … saying one to another… And how hear we every man in our own tongue [language] … we do hear them speak in our tongues [languages] the wonderful works of Elohim.

Acts 2:1-11

This year’s Pentecost Holy Day is to be celebrated at even 6/7/14.
